I began the Qivana Success interview by asking Diane where she first heard about Qivana. She related how her son Chris Steele told her about a new exciting company. Stephen Douglas, Marshall Douglas' son had spread the word to him about Qivana and how big it was going to be. Nothing was known about Qivana at the time, not even the name of the company, the CEO, or even what the products would be. But we did know from the conference calls that it was going to be huge news.
This is the point where my Qivana Success story begins. I was visiting Diane in February of 2009 when she told me of this new company that she had heard about. None of us knew much at the time, but I have known and admired Diane for over 30 years, so I put my doubts aside and waited for all to be revealed. We found out the company's name during a conference call in the middle of February. Our new company's name was Qivana. Qivana isderived from combining Qi or Chi which is the Chinese word used to describe "the natural energy of the Universe and Vana from Nirvana, the perfect peace o the state of mind.
Several days later we were introduced to the Qivana Dream Team. This is the point where my Qivana success story gets very exciting. All the corporate officers are the top in their field.
CEO Derek Hall was formerly CEO of McKesson Pharmaceutical Company. He was also the President and CEO for Nature's Way, Botanticals International, Integrative Therapeutics, Unigen USA and Univera. In addition he served as Vice President and CEO of Econet, Inc.
The Chief Financial Officer of Qivana is Devin Glazier. Before he came to Qivana Devin was the Sr. Financial Analyst at Novell and Sr. Director of Finance at XanGo. Devin earned a B.S. in accounting and received his MBA from Utah State University.
Justin Banner is the Chief Strategic Officer at Qivana. Justin was formerly VP of Strategy and Development at XanGo. He graduated with a B.S. in finance from Brigham Young University as well as a MBA in Strategy and Marketing from Purdue University.
Rodney James is the Chief Sales Officer, Rodney was formerly the Director of Product Marketing at XanGo, Director of Marketing at VM Direct, and Director of Sales at NuSkin. Rodney holds a BS in Finance from the University of Utah.
The Chief Marketing Officer of Qivana is Craig Johanson. Craig was formerly VP of Marketing at XanGo and Senior Brand Manager at Tahitian Noni International. Craig holds a B.S. in Marketing from Boise State University and an MBA from Utah State University.
After I found out about these outstanding leaders, I was even more excited than before.
In March I was fortunate enough to attend the pre-launch of Qivana in Atlanta, Georgia and my Qivana Success dream became a reality. In all my years in business I have never meet such a dedicated and innovative corporate team. As a Qivana IBO I couldn't believe the expertise of these leaders, the quality of the products, and the outstanding compensation plan. I left Atlanta knowing that I had found a business with the leadership and products I had been searching for.
The official launch of Qivana was in September in Orlando, Florida and Diane was able to attend. My next question to her was what her impression had been of the official launch. She agreed with my impression regarding the excellent leadership. Diane has been involved in network marketing before but she said she had never felt such a sense of community as she felt during that launch event.
Qivana is truly based on people helping people achieve their dreams. This is why Diane and I have both been able to explode our downline. My team grew to over 50 IBO's by the time the first products were shipped in April. Stay tuned for part two of the Qivana Success interview!
